It is almost
impossible to give an accurate price estimate for fencing and decking
erection without seeing the 'lay of the land', ground conditions for
foundation work have a major impact on final cost. However as a
rough guide we can use the examples illustrated here.
| Fencing: |
Boarded, no gap, 1.8m (6ft) high, 15cm (6in) wide;
2.4m (8ft),
100x100 (4in) posts, sunk to a minimum of 2ft, treated timber
= £45 - £55 per metre
ie. a 10m fence total cost £450 - £550 |

Using 150cm wide,
double sided, good quality boards, treated timber, bolts and
screws used throughout
= £75 - £95 per square metre
ie. for 10 sq metres total cost £750 - £950 |
